Rules

The Swedish Corporate Championship will be won by the Company  with the maximum points across all categories of events.

Points System:

Gold Silver Bronze
10 Points 7 Points 5 Points

In case of combined teams for participating companies, points would be individually awarded to all participating companies in the team and not split between them.

Combined teams can be formed only by companies that do not have an independent team participating in the same event
 

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS:

Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are to be won by employees across all categories of events.

 

COMMON RULES

–  Participants must be employees (on roll/contractual) of the organization carrying identity cards/company letters of the organization they are representing

–  All participants must be of reasonable health & fitness to participate in the specific events.

–  On field, judges / organizers / Referees / Umpires decision would be final.

–  The event Schedule and venues will be decided by the steering committee and will be final and abiding. Any alterations made by organizers on change of date or venue due to unforeseen reasons, has to be accepted by participants.

–  The companies have to appoint a coordinator, who will be a one point contact for the organizers and would communicate the same to the team members.

–  The nomination forms of companies along with the details of the participants has to be submitted online before 30th September 2018

–  In case of the nomination being changed, the same has to be notified to the organizers at least two days in advance of the event.

–  Participants have to preferably appear for all the events in the Official T Shirts.

–  During all the events, the participants need to be present at least 30 minutes prior to the designated start time.

–  The organizers will not be responsible for any kind of incidents / mishaps / loss of property on or off the field.

–  The events would be completed in stipulated time depending on the number of participants. Participants might have to play multiple rounds on any given day.

–  All teams are requested to maintain discipline and to avoid any kind of arguments with any other participant and referees.

–  FairSense team has the rights to reject any participant in case of using any unfair means or lack of proper conduct on or off the field.

–  A bye will be granted to the opponent if the participant fails to be present at the venue 5mins after his scheduled match time.

–  The decision of the Steering Committee shall be final in all matters.

–  If a player is found to be playing without being the employee of the company, the Company would be eliminated from the tournament for the year and would not be allowed to participate in any further matches in the tournament. The opponents would receive a Bye for those matches.

–  All matches are based on Knockout Basis unless specifically mentioned.

–  All safety gears and Playing equipment have to be brought by the participants. The organizers would be providing the consumables only.

UNDER 40 & 40+ AGE GROUPS

  • 3 Sports – Badminton, Table Tennis and Swimming to have Under 40 and 40+ Draws for all Categories.
  • It would be exclusive Under 40 and 40+ for the 3 sports in Singles as well as Doubles category.
  • The date considered for 40+ categories is born before October 1, 1979.
  • The steering committee will be responsible for providing the registrations under correct category for the participants.

 

SPORT RULES:

BADMINTON:  (Under 40 and 40+ Events in All Categories)

Men’s Singles | Women’s Singles | Men’s Doubles | Women’s Doubles | Mixed Doubles

  • Plastic Shuttles to be Used
  • 15 Points per Game and Best of 3 Sets. (Singles & Doubles)
  • Appropriate Footwear (Sports Shoes) is mandatory to play on Courts
  • Doubles Partner has to be from Same Company
  • Partner cannot be changed in any condition whatsoever
  • Badminton Shoes are to be carried and worn only at the Court. Shoes worn outside will not be allowed to be used on Court

 

BASKETBALL:

Men’s Team Event | Women’s Team Event

  • 5 persons playing per side (2 substitutes allowed)
  • Rolling Substitution
  • 15 Min each half with 5 Minutes Break
  • Appropriate Footwear (Sports Shoes) is mandatory to play on Courts

 

VOLLEYBALL:

Men’s Team Event | Women’s Team Event

  • 6 persons playing per side (2 substitutes allowed)
  • Rolling Substitution
  • Best of 3 Sets. First to 25 Points
  • Team can score Points while serving as well as taking the serve
  • Team that wins the point serves the next point
  • The players of the serving team rotate their position on the court in a clockwise manner
  • Appropriate Footwear (Sports Shoes) is mandatory to play on Courts

 

CHESS:

Common Draw for Men & Women

  • Swiss League System to be followed
  • Time Control for each game. Maximum game time of 30 Minutes
  • For those who are not aware of the Swiss System, the system will be explained in detail at the venue on the event date  

 

CARROM:

Common Draw for Men & Women

  • Best of 4 Boards till Semi Finals
  • Semi Finals & Finals will have full board of 25 Points.
  • Stroke to be made by nail side of finger up to second joint.
  • Any hand or any finger can be used.
  • Thumbing is allowed.
  • Queen (3 points) can be taken after pocketing minimum one coin of self and cover is must.
  • Stroke to be made covering full circle.
  • Striker should touch both lines while making stroke. Foul or due to be placed in circle in flat position but not on red circle.
  • Queen or jumped coin will be placed by umpire in centre circle.
  • Common Striker would be available but Players can bring their own Strikers as well.

 

TABLE TENNIS: (Under 40 and 40+ Events in All Categories)

Table Tennis will be played with 3 Star Balls.

  • Rally Point System
    Men’s Category: 11 Points – Best of 3 Sets. (Single & Doubles)

TURF FOOTBALL :

Men’s Event & Women’s Event

  • 5 persons playing per side (2 substitutes allowed)
  • Rolling Substitution
  • 10 min half (12 min for semis and finals)
  • Yellow and Red Cards as per regular football rules.
  • All standard rules except the offside rule will be applicable
  • Direct or 1 bounce Penalties are to be taken from opposite D without Goalkeeper in Goalpost.
  • At any given time only the Captain of the Team must & has the right to speak

 

POOL:

Men’s Event & Women’s Event

  • Pool (Eight ball) is played with fifteen numbered object balls and the cue ball. The shooter’s group of seven balls (one through seven or nine through fifteen) must all be off the table before the shooter attempts to pocket the eight ball to win. It will be an open pocket format for potting the eight ball with shots to be called on each turn.
  • Single Frame knock-out competition and Semi-Finals and Finals of 3 Frames each.
  • Maximum duration of 15 mins. If the frame is undecided in 15 mins, the shooter with more pots wins the frame. If the number of pots is the same, the frame is decided based on cue ball challenge.
  • First Break would be decided on the basis of Toss of Coin by the referee.
  • Before groups are determined, the table is said to be “open,” If the shooter legally pockets his called ball, the corresponding group becomes his, and his opponent is assigned the other group. When the table is “open”, any object ball may be struck first except the eight ball.
  • The shooter remains at the table as long as he continues to legally pocket his group balls, or he wins the rack by pocketing the eight ball.
  • If the eight ball is pocketed or driven off the table on the break, the balls will be re-racked.
  • The shooter loses the rack if he fouls when pocketing the eight ball; pockets the eight ball before his group is cleared; drives the eight ball off the table.  These do not apply to the break shot.

LEATHER BALL CRICKET

Men’s Event

  • 11 Playing Members + 4 Squad Players (Can only field in case of substitution)
  • SG Leather Balls will be used for all Matches.
  • 20 Overs per Side. One Bowler can bowl maximum of 4 Overs.
  • Power Play for First 6 Overs (Only 3 Fielders allowed on Boundary)
  • No Ball would result in the Next Ball being a FREE HIT.
  • In case of a tie in scores, the result will be decided on the basis of Super Over.
  • All Other Latest Standard MCC Cricket Rules Apply.
  • If a match is interrupted or abandoned due to rain, re-match will be played. This would be done on an available time slot and might have to be played even on a weekday.
  • All players must carry their Photo ID Cards or a letter from the company authorizing the player to be an employee of the company. In absence of this, the player would not be allowed to play the match.
  • If a Player from one company participates for a particular team, he has to represent the same team throughout the tournament.

BOX CRICKET: (Men & Women Mixed Teams)

  • Official Tennis Balls will be provided for the Matches
  • 6 persons playing per side (2 substitutes allowed)
  • Minimum of 1 Woman in the Playing Six Players
  • Before the Toss in a match, both the Captains must handover the list of their playing SIX to the Tournament Committee and No changes will be allowed thereafter. 6 Members once selected at the Toss will complete the entire match unless there is an injury in which case a player is allowed to be substituted for fielding but will not be able to Bat or Bowl.
  • Each match is limited to 6 Overs a side.
  • One bowler can bowl a maximum of 2 overs.
  • In case of a tie in scores, the result will be decided on the basis of Super Over.
  • The pitch length should be verified by both captains and umpire BEFORE the start of the game and cannot be modified once the play has started.
  • The Pitch will have a Line Marking (at halfway point) and the Ball bounce has to be beyond the specified line. In case of the ball bouncing before the line, a No Ball will be declared.
  • Bowling will be done Over-Arm in a Standing Position with no Leg Movement.
  • Any leg movement or Line Cutting will result in a No Ball.
  • There is NO limitation on placement of fielders as long as they do not cause obstruction to the batsman.
  • There would be no LBW out, also leg byes would not be granted.
  • The wicket keeper can be rotated and all players are allowed to bowl.
  • Free hit balls are not applicable under any condition.
  • At any given time only the Captain of the Team must & has the right to speak •
  • The playing teams must be present THIRTY minutes before the start of the play and are also requested to take care of their own belongings, as the organizers will not be responsible for loss of their property or valuables.
  • Organizers will not be responsible for any injuries or mishaps at the venue. The participants are requested to carry their own safety equipment.
  • In case of a possible dispute regarding a hit for 4/6 runs and /or a catch at the boundary, fielders are advised to stay put and help the umpire make the decision by holding their ground. Benefit of doubt shall always go to the batsman.
  • One representative from each playing side will accompany the official scorer and inform him about the player’s detail. They also need to check time and again the Data and Spellings of the player, which would be used for our record purpose. In case the representative is not available, no corrections or amendments would be allowed later.
  • All players must carry their Photo ID Cards or a letter from the company authorizing the player to be an employee of the company. In absence of this, the player would not be allowed to play the match.
  • If a Player from one company participates for a particular team, he has to represent the same team throughout the tournament.

The decision of the Steering Committee shall be final in all matters. On field the umpire’s decision would be considered final.

 

SWIMMING   (Under 40 and 40+ Events in All Categories)

Men’s Freestyle 100M | Women’s Freestyle 50M | Mixed Relay Freestyle 100M * 4

  • The stroke most commonly used is sometimes called the crawl, which is characterized by the alternate stroking of the arms over the water surface and an alternating (up-and-down) flutter kick.
  • On turns and finishes, some part of the swimmer must touch the wall. Most swimmers do a flip turn.
  • Most swimmers do the forward dive off of the block, but swimmers can just jump or dive from the edge of the pool.

Disqualifications will result from actions such as:

  • Missed touching the wall
  • Touched bottom of the Swimming Pool
  • Walking on the bottom
  • Pulling on the lane lines
  • Not completing the distance

The competition will have Qualifying Heats followed by a Final Race.

Relay Rules:

 The Relay Event will have a combination of 3 Men & 1 Woman.

  • The order of first to last is completely flexible and can be decided by the individual teams.
  • An exchange is legal as long as the big toe nail is still on the block as the swimmer in the water touches. This means that the swimmer on the block can be over top of the swimmer in the pool as he/she touches as long as the toe is still on the block.
  • Participating Companies can make mixed teams (consisting of different participating companies) for the Relay Event.
